Personalizing Learning w/ Moodle Lessons - Steve Denniston, Technology Integration Specialist, Ravenna Public Schools
Creating a Moodle 'lesson' may seem intimidating at first. However, with advance planning, it can be an effective way to guide students through a sequence of learning events. Even better, a 'lesson' is adaptive in nature. A student choice can impact feedback received and determine the next step. The primary focus will be learning how to plan the big picture before you begin. That is the key to creating effective lessons in Moodle. We will go through a methodical process of defining the type of lesson we want to create, the pages we will need to create, and identify how we want the pages to connect in a logical, sequential manner. You will leave the session with a template that can be used in multiple situations.

Emphasizing the Positive with Class Dojo - Julie Tessier, Third Grade Teacher, Wyoming Public Schools
Class Dojo allows teachers to instantly reward students for good behavior and refocus those who may be off task. It encourages parent involvement and communication while protecting student privacy. It permits collaboration among teachers who may share students. It is completely customizable according to specific needs and supports goal setting. The data provided is simple to use and can be accessed in a variety of ways. I will show participants how this amazing tool has changed my management, parent connections and data usage and provided transparency for all stakeholders. I will discuss using the tool as a silo and moving toward all school implementation. Class Dojo has been very responsive to teacher input and will provide goodies to give participants as well.
